Bougainvillea glabra Pink Beauty is a compact, ornamental shrub valued for its dense growth and vibrant pink display. Unlike climbing forms, this variety grows as a well-branched, bushy plant with woody stems and glossy green leaves. It produces abundant bright pink, papery bracts around small white flowers, creating a long-lasting and eye-catching show. Hardy and low-maintenance, it thrives in full sun, tolerates drought once established, and responds well to pruning, making it ideal for hedges, borders, pots, and landscape planting.
Plant Care🪴
☀️ Light:
Bougainvillea is a sun-loving plant that needs full sunlight to bloom well. Give it at least 6–8 hours of direct sun every day. If it doesn’t get enough light, it will grow lots of leaves but very few flowers.
💧 Water:
Water bougainvillea deeply but infrequently. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot and poor flowering, so it’s better to underwater than overdo it.
✂️ Pruning:
Pruning helps encourage more flowers. Trim the plant after flowering or lightly during the growing season. Since blooms form on new growth, pruning actually improves flowering.
