Philodendron Hastatum Silver Sword

Bring a touch of modern elegance to your home with the Philodendron Hastatum ‘Silver Sword’. Its stunning silvery-blue, sword-shaped leaves create a bold, sophisticated look that stands out in any indoor space. As the plant matures, the foliage becomes larger and more dramatic, making it a beautiful statement piece for homes, offices, or plant collections. Easy to care for and fast-growing, this rare tropical plant adds style, freshness, and natural charm to any décor.

Happy in a shaded area but best in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves, taking a long time to recover.

Water little and often, keeping the soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to slightly dry out in-between watering.

Water less during the winter. Will tolerate some degree of drought better than being too wet.

Philodendrons are versatile when it comes to humidity levels, however, a good misting on those dry days will help keep the foliage looking fresh.

Apply a weak solution of liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season.

Do not feed during the winter.

Ultimate height 1 – 3m. Fast growth rate and requires a space with height and breadth. Use a moss pole or column to support vertical growth.

Philodendron filter airborne toxins such as such as formaldehyde, benzene and trichloroethylene from the atmosphere and they are part of our clean air plant collection.

🌿Don’t contend with the curl! If you notice the big leaves curling, the plant is either too cold or the air is too dry. Move location for a quick fix.

🌿Sensitive to sunlight! Too much sun will cause the silver leaves to yellow. More shade for the Queen.

🌿Poorly invites pests! If your Philodendron is feeling under the weather, they are more susceptible to pests. Healthy means happy.
