Aloe Vera is a hardy, low-maintenance succulent featuring thick, fleshy green leaves with attractive serrated edges. Perfect for balconies, patios and outdoor gardens, it thrives in bright sunlight and warm weather. Its leaves contain a soothing gel commonly used in traditional skincare. Plant in well-draining soil and water only when the soil becomes completely dry.

Place the Aloe Vera plant in a bright outdoor location with 4–6 hours of sunlight daily. Morning sunlight is ideal. Protect it from harsh afternoon sun during extremely hot summer months.

Water thoroughly only when the soil has completely dried. Usually, watering once every 10–15 days is sufficient, depending on the weather. Reduce watering during winter and avoid overwatering.

Remove dry, damaged or yellow leaves from the base using clean scissors. Keep the centre of the plant dry to prevent fungal problems.

Overwatering is the most common problem with Aloe Vera. Always check that the soil is fully dry before watering again.
