The Alocasia Silver Dragon, like the Alocasia Dragon Scale, belongs to the genus Alocasia Baginda. The Alocasia Silver Dragon is very similar to the Alocasia Dragon Scale, but has a lighter leaf color. It has beautiful leathery-silvery leaves with dark leaf veins, which brings out the special dragon skin-like texture of the leaves even better. The back is also silvery, but still a little lighter than the top of the leaf.
The name of the plant comes from the fact that the oval-shaped leaves of the Silver Dragon look like the scales of a dragon’s skin. The leaves are also very thick and rich in structure, which makes them feel reptile-like.
Since the Alocasia Silver Dragon only grows to a maximum height of 0.5 m, it is one of the more compact Alocasias.
