Native to the Amazonian rainforests, Anthurium make wonderful houseplants. This stunning variety has superb heart-shaped leaves and gorgeous flowers which are very long-lasting.
Prefers bright, indirect light – avoid direct sunlight. Water once the top inch of the compost has dried. Feed with weak solution once in spring and once in summer. Prefers humidity – mist often.
Light
Anthuriums thrive in locations with moderate to bright, indirect light conditions, however, they have been known to adapt well to lower light levels.
Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch to dry between waterings for optimal health.
Feed
Liquid fertiliser can be applied during the growing season, once a month or so should be sufficient.
Humidity
This plant enjoys humidity. Place in a bathroom and/or mist regularly with water. Remove dust from the leaves with a damp cloth to improve photosynthesis.
