Bonsai Portulacaria

Portulacaria afra is a shrubby African succulent which makes an excellent Bonsai for beginners! Unlike most Bonsai which need regular and careful watering, this tough little plant will cope perfectly well if you forget for a few days. The small, rounded fleshy leaves store water to keep it going during dry periods. Over time, it produces a woody stem, giving a fabulous tree-like appearance. This tough and reliable plant is ideal for a sunny windowsill. Supplied with a ceramic pot and saucer (colour may vary). Height and spread: 30cm (12″).
