The Boston Fern is an elegant Victorian favourite, sometimes called the Sword fern. It has graceful, arching, green fronds with a ruffled appearance that is best displayed in a hanging basket or on a stand where it can cascade over the edge.
The Boston Fern will not only bring an air of calm to your home. It is one of the best known plants for purifying the air and regulating humidity.

🌿Time for a trim! Cut away older, yellowing or dried fronds from around the sides at the base of the plant. This will encourage vigorous new growth. Do not chop the top.
🌿Happy when hot and humid! This fern prefers a wet, warm and bright environment to thrive, such as the bathroom or kitchen.

Light
Nephrolepis are reasonably comfortable in a wide range of light conditions, anywhere from bright, indirect sunlight to light shade.
Watering
Keep the soil moist at all times. Water when the surface becomes slightly dry.
Do not overwater and avoid pipe water , soft water where possible.
Humidity
Prefers higher humidity and doesn’t do well in dry air. Do not place near radiators, etc. Group with other plants in your kitchen or bathroom to help increase humidity levels.
Feed
Liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during the growing season.

Exaltata Bostoniensis is a fast-growing fern which typically reaches an ultimate height of around 1 metre.
Toxicity
This fern is considered non-toxic and is therefore safe around children and pets.
