Codiaeum Iceton – Croton 100cm

Croton Iceton is a stunningly beautiful foliage plant with fantastic leaf colour and variegation. The mid-green leaves are glossy with pointed tips and each have a vivid splash of red, pink, yellow or orange.

Highly ornamental, it could almost be considered a work of art. Codiaeum Iceton is a definite eye-catcher and looks stunning in taller planters.

Thrives in bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light conditions, but optimal leaf coloration occurs with ample light.

Codiaeum need to be in damp soil at all times. They do not respond well to soil that is very wet or dry, and either will cause leaf drop. Watering your Iceton with lukewarm water is recommended.

Increased humidity levels are a must.

Stand your Croton on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity or mist frequently. Does best in steamier rooms such as kitchens

and bathrooms.

Feed

Liquid fertiliser can be applied during the growing season, once a month or so should be sufficient.

Height & Growth Rate

Crotons are not known to be particularly fast or slow-growers. They will typically reach an ultimate height of around 1.2 metres to 2 metres.

Toxicity

Considered toxic to pets if ingested.keep it out of reach of cats and dogs or opt for pet-friendly alternatives if you have furry companions.

Air Purifying

While not specifically known for its air-purifying qualities, Codiaeum Iceton contributes to a visually appealing indoor environment.

🌿Little and Often! If you notice rapid leaf drop, your plant is not happy with its watering. Try to keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy.

🌿Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust. Do not use leaf shine as this will damage the foliage. Cut back to size if they become too tall.

🌿If you’re still noticing leaf drop after changing up your watering schedule, your Croton might be feeling a little chilly!

Consider relocating to a warmer, more humid spot like the bathroom or kitchen.
