The String of Buttons is a low-maintenance trailing succulent, with its angular leaves gracefully spiralling around a sturdy stem, creating a captivating stacked appearance. When exposed to sunlight, the edges of its grey-green leaves transform into a vibrant pink-red hue, adding a touch of boldness to its beauty. Initially, its stems grow vertically, but as they mature, they gracefully cascade over the sides of the pot, enhancing its casual charm.
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate shade for short periods of time.
Watering
Soak the plant and allow the soil to drain freely as Crassula do not like having their roots sitting in water. Allow the soil to dry out before watering again to avoid overwatering.
Temperature
This plant will do well in average household temperatures: between 15-24°C. It is cold tolerant to sub-zero temperatures but only if bone dry – so best avoided!
Humidity
Crassula perforata prefers the dry spots in your home, avoid placing it in bathrooms and kitchens.
Feed
A weak solution of liquid fertiliser once a month during spring and summer.
