Description

Radermachera sinica is a sturdy house plant with nicely shaped glossy green foliage which is divided into leaflets. Radermachera sinica, also known as China Doll, originated in the tropical mountain regions of China and Thaivan.

With its beautiful, glossy leaves and relatively low maintenance, the China doll plant can be a perfect addition to your indoor garden.

Light Requirements

  • Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can scorch its leaves.
  • It can adapt to low light, but growth may slow down in such conditions.
  • Watering Requirements

  • Moderate watering: Keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch or so of the soil feels dry.
  • Avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot.
  • Humidity Requirements

  • High humidity is ideal, but it can tolerate average levels. If you live in a dry climate, consider using a humidifier or placing the pot on a tray with water and pebbles to increase humidity.
  • Regular misting can also help if the air is dry.
  • Feed Requirements

    Toxicity

Non-toxic to pets, so it is a safe choice for homes with cats or dogs.

    Air Purifying

Radermachera sinica is known to have air-purifying qualities, similar to other houseplants like Spider plants and Peace lilies. It can help remove certain toxins from the air, though its purifying effect is relatively mild compared to larger plants.
