Blozem Hints 🍀
🍀Soak it up! The String of Dolphins will appreciate a thorough soaking but ensure the soil dries out in between watering.
🍀Say no to those watering woes! The Senecio peregrinus is drought tolerant and can often go 2-3 weeks without any additional water, making it an ideal, easy care addition to your home.
🍀A little off the top! If you notice your String of Dolphins is becoming unruly with long, straggly stems, simply trim to desired length.

Light
Senecio peregrinus enjoys bright, indirect light through to partial shade. Avoid exposing your plant to harsh midday sunlight, but some morning or late afternoon sun would be a bonus.

Watering
Senecio are very drought tolerant, storing water in their leaves. Allow the soil to dry out between watering. Do not overwater or allow the plants to sit in water.

Temperature
Optimal room temperatures are 18-24°C, however these Senecio can tolerate cooler temperatures even as low as 10°C in winter while the plant is dormant.

Humidity
Senecio peregrinus does fine in average home humidity, but will thrive in slightly more humid environments such as the kitchen or bathroom, or with the occasional misting.

Feed
A weak solution of balanced fertiliser once a month during the summer months.

Height & Growth Rate
String of Dolphins is fast-growing and typically reaches an ultimate height and length of 1 metre. Simply trim to desired length if stems become too long or straggly.
