توجا أوريينتيس

Thuja orientalis is a beautiful evergreen tree with a neat, pyramid shape. Its leaves are small, flat, and grow in fan-like layers that stay green all year. In summer, the leaves are bright green, and in winter, they may turn a soft golden or bronze color. The tree also has small cones that start green and turn brown as they grow. Thuja orientalis looks peaceful and tidy, making it a lovely plant for gardens, parks, or as a hedge. It brings beauty and freshness to any place where it grows.

🌞 الضوء:

Thuja orientalis grows best in full sun to partial shade. It should receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for compact and healthy growth. Too much shade can cause the inner foliage to brown and thin out.

💧 الري:

In summer, water the plant every day or when the top of the soil starts to dry.

In winter, water every two days or when the top of the soil starts to dry.

Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t overwater — too much water can cause brown spots or make the leaves fall off.

If the leaves look curly or dry, the plant needs water.

Water in the early morning or late evening when it’s cooler.

Always check the soil before watering.

✂️ التقليم:

Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to maintain a neat, conical shape.

Avoid cutting into old wood, as it may not regrow.

For hedges, trim 2–3 times per year for dense foliage.

🌱Mulch:

Apply mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it 5–10 cm away from the trunk.

Foliage may turn bronze in winter, which is a normal seasonal change and not a sign of damage.
