Euphorbia lactea ‘Cristata’ is a succulent perennial plant from the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae. It is a grafted plant, often referred to as a cactus, but it isn’t, even though it resembles one. It is popularly grown indoors as a houseplant. It often consists of Euphorbia lactea grafted onto the stem of a Euphorbia neriifolia plant. But there is some variation in the grafted plants and cresting patterns can be unique. This lends to this succulents interesting appearance, a stout stem leading to to a large, fan-shaped structure formed from frilled branches. Commonly known by the names Coral Cactus and Crested Elkhorn, amongst others.
