The Euphorbia Trigona, or African Milk Tree, is a stunning succulent cactus-like plant known for its upright, triangular stems and deep green color with decorative ridges and small tear-shaped leaves. Its vertical growth habit and bold, sculptural look make it a popular choice for modern indoor décor.
Native to Central Africa, this plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and requires minimal watering, making it perfect for busy households. With proper care, it can grow quite tall indoors, often reaching heights of 5 to 6 feet, creating a dramatic visual impact in living rooms, offices, or patios.
Light
Keep in very bright light, as near to a window as possible. If the light comes from one side only rotate your plant so that it grows evenly.
Watering
Only water when the compost has completely dried out and never leave your plant sitting in water. These plants are succulents and store a lot of water in their stems. They are also deciduous, loosing their leaves regularly before growing fresh new ones.
Feed
Liquid fertiliser can be applied during the growing season, once a month or so should be sufficient.
Humidity
Low to moderate humidity. It handles dry indoor air well—no misting needed.

Height & Growth Rate
Grows up to 6–8 feet (1.8–2.4 meters) indoors over several years.
Air Purifying
Plant contributes to better air quality by producing oxygen and potentially filtering some toxins.
