The Carmona bonsai (also known as the Fukien Tea tree) is a stunning indoor plant known for its delicate, glossy green leaves, tiny white flowers that bloom throughout the year, and intricate, gnarled trunk that gives it an aged, artistic look. Its small, compact growth and naturally elegant shape make it a favorite among bonsai enthusiasts.
Aside from its beauty, the Carmona bonsai also symbolizes patience, harmony, and resilience, making it a perfect decorative piece for homes and offices. It thrives in bright, indirect light and requires consistent care, including regular watering and occasional pruning to maintain its shape. When well-maintained, this bonsai adds a serene, natural touch to any indoor space, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and bringing a sense of tranquility.
Light
The Fukien Tea Tree needs a lot of light, so place it in a bright window, ideally south facing. In winter it would benefit from a grow light too, to make up for the shorter daylight hours.
Watering
Water when the top of the soil dries out, but make sure it drains and is not sat in a puddle as it will suffer if left with soggy roots!
Humidity
Bonsais like average to high humidity, and like it to be stable. Make sure they are not close to a radiator which would dry them out; they will benefit from misting or hosing down their leaves regularly or the introduction of a humidity tray.
Feed
Liquid fertiliser can be applied during the growing season, once a month or so should be sufficient.
Blozem Hints đŸª´
