Bromeliad Red Guzmania

This gorgeous red tropical is one of the most common house plants from the Bromeliad family. Other popular cultivars have bright yellow or orange bracts. 

The beautiful Bromeliad Guzmania plant features long, narrow, shiny green leaves that rise from a deep central cup. The large and showy flower bracts of Guzmania Bromeliads bloom in the summer in stunning colors

Guzmania prefers bright, filtered light but avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. While it can withstand shade, it is not ideal for promoting growth.

Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering. Use distilled water or rainwater where possible. Also water the central reservoir in the plant’s rosette.

Bromelia enjoy increased levels of humidity. Mist regularly or sit by the shower for an added boost from time to time.

Liquid fertiliser can be applied during the growing season, once a month or so should be sufficient

Bromeliad plants are considered nontoxic and are therefore safe around children and pets.
