Also known as ‘Purple Passion’ the Gynura Aurantiaca has serrated curly leaves which are covered in an incredibly bold and bright purple flocking.
This little cutie is very easy to water propagate, so once it’s grown a bit you can take some cuttings and share with your green fingered friends.
A relatively low maintenance houseplant, suitable for beginners. Just make sure to keep it’s soil nice and moist!
Light
Bright, indirect light will produce the most beautiful plant, however it will tolerate lower light but expect colour loss and a slower growth.
Watering
Keep soil moist during the growing season but let the top third dry out a little between waterings so as to avoid any stem rot. During winter months less water is required but do not let it dry out.
Feed
During the growing season lightly fertilise twice a month.
Humidity
This plant will grow well in a normal household environment but will appreciate a higher humidity.
Toxicity
Gynura aurantiaca plants are non-toxic and therefore safe around children and animals.
