Hoya linearis, also known as the Porcelain Flower has long, slender foliage which creates a wonderful cascading effect.
In the right conditions it produces small, white, sweetly-scented flowers.
A deluge of soft, velvety tendrils makes the Linear Porcelain Plant another trailing triumph for the Hoya. This living waterfall of jungle foliage is created from trailing lengths of long stems, amassed with needle-like leaves as it calmly cascades from its source. Creamy blossoms finish the look, giving those bright open spaces with high ceilings an impactful contemporary tone.
Light
Needs very bright, indirect light. All day sunlight will scorch the leaves. Will benefit from some early morning or late afternoon sunshine. Can cope in light shade but unlikely to bloom. Does well under artificial light making it ideal for office environments.
Watering
Hoya are succulents and store water.
Allow the top half of the soil to dry out between watering, then water deeply and allow to drain thoroughly. Do not
over-water, as too much water will kill the plant. Water sparingly in winter.
Blozem Hints 🪴
🌿Ditch the drought! If you have noticed the leaves of your plant have started to shrivel, your plant is dry and thirsty.Refresh and rejuvenate with some water.
🌿Hang out somewhere humid! Have you noticed rapid leaf loss? The plant is in thermal shock from cold temperatures.Keep away from cold locations and draughts.
🌿Bring on the Blooms! This plant needs heat, humidity and very bright light to flower. A bathroom with a southern exposure is the winner.
