Description

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, often called Monstera minima, is a stunning indoor climber known for its small, split leaves that resemble the larger Monstera deliciosa. Trained on a moss pole, it becomes a true showstopper. The vibrant green, deeply fenestrated foliage climbs upward gracefully, bringing vertical interest and a lush, tropical feel to any space. Its compact size makes it perfect for shelves, corners, or as a statement plant in modern homes. With its fast growth and architectural form, it adds elegance, freshness, and a touch of the jungle to your indoor decor

Light Requirements

Monstera minima does best in bright, indirect light conditions. It can adapt to moderate shade but will grow more slowly and may become leggy. Avoid direct sunlight however, as this may scorch the plant.

Watering Requirements

Water when the soil of your Monstera minima has started to dry out. Excess water will lead to large dry spots developing on the foliage.

Humidity Requirements

The Monstera minima is happy with average to high humidity levels.

Cannot cope in dry air situations.

Feed Requirements

Feed once a month with a balanced fertiliser during the growing period.

Growth Rate

Moderate to fast growth rate. Use a moss pole to support the plant (the roots will cling to this for support). Cut back if it gets too leggy.

Toxicity

The leaves are toxic for animals. Keep away from pets.

Air Purifying

Monstera Minima contributes to cleaner indoor air by filtering common pollutants, promoting a healthier living environment.

Blozem Hints đŸª´

đŸŒ¿Getting leggy? Your plant may be striving for more light. Move to a brighter spot and trim back thin growth.

đŸŒ¿Going for a sidelong sprawl? The Dwarf Monstera loves to crawl and sprawl in all sorts of directions. Adjust the moss pole pins, or use some extras to coax it back to the pole’s surface.

đŸŒ¿Monstera minima are native to tropical regions but will do fine in UK homes. They do best with the slightly higher humidity of bathrooms and kitchens.
