Roses are among the most beautiful of all garden plants, blooming mainly in early summer and fall. They’ve been used as a medicine, perfume, currency, artistic muse, and of course, as symbols of a lover’s undying affection.
The roses will happily flower non-stop for 12 months of the year.
Light: Roses do best in full sun at least 6 hours of direct sun a day.
Water: Diligently water your roses.
Soak the entire root zone at least twice a week in dry summer
Fertilizer: Use natural fertilizers to feed your plants before and throughout the blooming cycle.
Potting: Fill the pot about two-thirds full of potting mix that drains well enough. use a stem or a bare root rose for planting, mound the soil up in the center, then place the rose over the mound and cover it. need to be repotted every two or three years.
Pruning: Prune roses in the spring to destroy all old stems. Any cane thinner than a pencil should be removed.
