Sansevieria kirkli has smooth, mid to dark green succulent leaves with brown, wavy edges. The beautifully patterned leaves are narrow and dagger shaped. Tough and rugged in appearance, they can grow to a metre in length, making them ideal architectural plants.
Sansevieria kirkil is closely related to Sansevieria trifasciata and has all the
same virtues. Sansevieria readily adapt to different light levels, are air-purifying and very hard to kill.
Light
Sanseviera kirkii does best in moderate to bright, indirect light, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Don’t allow to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
Humidity
The kirkii will do fine in normal household humidity. Avoid humid locations but if brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.
Feed
Apply a weak dose of cactus or general purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season.
Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and don’t need a lot of food.
Height & Growth Rate
The Star Sansevieria is a slow-growing plant and typically reaches an ultimate height of around 1 metre.
Toxicity
Sansevieria are mildly toxic if eaten.
Keep away from animals.
Do not consume.

Air Purifying

Blozem Hints
đŸª´
đŸŒ¿Let that sun shine! Bright, indirect light will bring out the gorgeous colour of your kirkii.
đŸŒ¿squeaky clean! Make sure to wipe the stems of your kirkii regularly to remove any dust and help maximise its air purifying powers.
đŸŒ¿Time for a trim? If your kirkii has experienced some additional scarring or damage to one or two leaves, you can slice the leaf back into its beautiful pointed shape using a sharp, sterilised blade.
