Java Plum is a beautiful evergreen fruit tree known for its dense green foliage and clusters of glossy, deep purple to black fruits. The fruits have a sweet-tart flavor and are commonly enjoyed fresh, in juices, and in traditional recipes. With its attractive canopy and tropical appearance, Java Plum is an excellent choice for home gardens, farms, and large outdoor landscapes. It grows best in warm climates with plenty of sunlight and well-drained soil.
Plant Care🪴
☀️ Light: Prefers full sunlight for 6–8 hours daily. Good sunlight helps the tree grow strongly and supports better flowering and fruit production.
💧 Watering: Water regularly while the plant is young. Once established, water when the top layer of soil starts to dry. During very hot weather, check the soil more often. Avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy.
🌱 Soil: Grows best in fertile, well-draining soil rich in organic matter. The soil should hold some moisture but should not stay waterlogged.
🌡️ Temperature: Prefers a warm tropical to subtropical climate. Young plants should be protected from extreme heat until they become well established.
🌿 Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer during the growing season to encourage healthy leaves, strong branches, flowering, and fruiting.
✂️ Pruning: Remove dry, damaged, weak, or crowded branches when needed. Light pruning helps maintain a healthy shape and improves airflow.
📏 Growth: Java Plum is a fast-growing tree that can eventually become large, so it is best planted where there is enough outdoor space.
